An early determination of preserved child's functions and observation its demonstrations helps to exact diagnose determination, the brain compensation possibilities are also the highest at the early age. The early care is standardized social service aimed that helps families with health handicapped children or with risk development from the birth till 3 years old, at combined handicaps till 6 years old. The services and the team of the early care have interdisciplinary character. The team workers are special pedagogy, physician and non-physician sanitary disciplines and social educated people. There is an accredited course of the early care consultant in Czech. The first early care provider is Society for an early care Praque www.ranapece.cz with the most extensive centre net in Czech. The care depends on an entering team determination and family wishes. The basic activity of this service is the family visit. That means in the natural children's background. It results from the concrete family needs and so it helps in the diagnosis undertaking (provided it was already estimated) and it offers support. It stimulates child's development by the help of appropriate methods and it makes an integrated family background that is fundamental for its total development. The child's birth changes family background that is the basic development factor of its psychical and physiological functions. So the service supports responsible and happy parenthood and reduces the dependence on other social systems.

The early care in DEMOSTHENA refers to the care of the Perinatology centre in Masaryk-hospital in Usti nad Labem www.mnul.cz but also the families with children at the mentioned age are accepted. As the social service with interdisciplinary character it cooperates with the care of paediatrists and physician-specialists and it happens before the following pedagogical care.
We offer the families the consulting, working by the help of special methods (stimulative and compensative), we recommend professional literature, we help you to choose an appropriate pre-school facility, we borrow special didactical tools and toys, we provide the institution contacts and parent's groups contacts who are concerned with health handicapped people problematic and there is a possibility to take part in the re-condition stay DEMOSTHENA.
The early care is free of charge, Usti nad Labem and its surrounding is the catchment's area. The interdisciplinary team of the early care consists of professionals aimed at the family and the child's early development. They consult the attitude possibilities with other centre specialists if necessary.
