Pedagogical physiotherapy - the day stay
The day stay is intended for children with motional, speech and combined handicap from three years old till school entering age. There are children with hearing and eye sight handicap in the centre as well because of the specialist presence.
There can be accepted the children as well whose diagnostic procedure hasn't been finished yet. Especially these children need a team assessment for diagnose determination or specification. There is an electro-encephalography appliance in the facility therefore it is possible to do the EEG-examination at all children. It is necessary for the purpose of the differential diagnostics except neurological patients at children with speech disorder or whose diagnose was indeterminate as well.
The special pedagogue, nursery school teachers and nurses cares of the children in day care. There is an individual and group therapy of interdisciplinary team following the neurology, clinical psychology, clinical logopedics and physiotherapy; ergo therapy and special pedagogy specialist team determination.
There are team visits (at all children) once a week and once a month there is done a detailed analyze of particular child's condition at the professional meeting where the sanitary and pedagogical part of the centre meet together with social worker (if needed). Then there is established a child's development plan together with the parents based on the meeting conclusions.
If needed we cooperate with other specialists out of the clinic (from Usti, Praque, Teplice,...), and as examinations records are used the meeting conclusions - the complex statement.
Although the basic regime corresponds with a normal nursery school, the care isn't based on the pedagogical care only; otherwise, the care is complex and it corresponds to complex physiotherapy. There are 36 children in 4 classrooms.
